GONZALES — Cypress Church of Gonzales hosted its fourth annual Easter service and Easter egg hunt in Gonzales Central Park last Sunday.

More than 100 people attended the church service, and 2,200 Easter eggs were given to local children. There also was a separate area for “Kid’s Church,” where the children were taught the story of Easter, followed by the Easter egg hunt.

Organizers said one of the highlights of the day was seeing the children all dressed up for Easter Sunday.
