SOUTH COUNTY — A tea party took over the King City Recreation Center as South County Animal Rescue hosted its first Sweetheart Tea and Silent Auction last Saturday in King City.

About five puppies were present during the Feb. 2 event hoping to get adopted. Two of Poppy’s Puppies are in the process of being adopted, and three others are still looking for homes.

A silent auction was also part of the event, which featured authentic British tea and snacks for guests.
