GONZALES — Pablo Villasenor of the Gonzales High School football team was honored by being selected as the Lineman of the Week by the San Francisco 49ers.

Villasenor, a two-way starter for the 6-0 Spartans, plays on the offensive and defensive lines for Gonzales and was an All-League football player, All-League basketball player and league champion in the shot put and discus for the Spartans track and field team.

The 18-year-old Villasenor will receive game tickets to an upcoming game in Santa Clara and is invited to attend a private 49er practice to meet Coach Kyle Shanahan. In addition, the Gonzales High football program will receive a $500 donation from the 49ers.

Villasenor will also be featured in a 49er game day program at their next home game.
