GONZALES — Children from the Gonzales community and beyond celebrated the Dia Del Nino (Day of the Child) at Central Park in Gonzales on Sunday.
More than 700 children enjoyed a free lunch, played games and were entertained by dancers and singers.
The Dia Del Nino has taken place in Gonzales for the past 12 years and was co-sponsored with Grupos Unidos and the City of Gonzales.
Over 12 service groups from throughout Monterey County provided booths with health and medical, educational and environmental information.
