SOUTH COUNTY — All four South County High Schools will be represented at the 33rd Annual All-Star High School Football Game on Friday at Rabobank Football Stadium in Salinas.

The 2017 game will be coached by two of the best coaches in the tri-county area in Steven Zenk of Salinas High and Jubenal Rodriguez of Gilroy High School. Zenk coached Salinas to a Central Coast Section title and within two points of the Northern California championship and Rodriguez coached Gilroy to a Central Coast Section championship.

Soledad High players chosen to the All-Star game are: David Cruz, Emanuel Ortega, Aaron Rodriguez, Robbie SantaAna, Geronimo Serrano, and Ulises Uribe.

All six of the Aztec players chosen were All-Mission Trail Athletic League players.

Gonzales High players on the team are Seth Mays, a first-team Coastal League linebacker and Hernan Mojica. Greenfield High players include first-team Coastal League players Brayan Ceballos and Victor Compean. Players were nominated by their high school coaches.

King City All-MTAL player and Co-Defensive Player of the Year Clay Barbree will be part of the team along with teammate Luis Luna. Kickoff for the game is 7 p.m. and the contest is being organized by the Toro Bulls Youth Football and Cheer teams.

There will be tickets on sale at Rabobank for general admission, students, senior citizens and the military along with a parking fee.

Coach Zenk and Coach Rodriguez have picked local charities National Football Foundation (NFF) and Operation Give Back (OGB) to represent. There will be donation bins around the stadium to support the causes. Each charity will receive donations.
