GONZALES — The fourth annual Four Cities for Peace Block Party is set for Saturday, Aug. 26, at Central Park in Gonzales.

The event is family friendly, taking place from noon to 5 p.m. There will be free food, family fun, games, jump houses, music and “Chalk in the Park” art project. The event is under the direction of Event Coordinator Jean Salcido.

“I was raised in Gonzales and have lived here for 58 years, and I have had a desire to unite the community of Gonzales and also to give back to the community,” Salcido said.

The event is open to all four cities, Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City residents.

Four Cities for Peace (4C4P) is an organization made up of law enforcement from the four South County cities, church groups, schools and different organizations that work together to try to keep youth engaged in safe activities and away from gang life.
